Monday, 28th

Cog and Carpathian tour western Victoria this March to play two all ages shows put on by FReeZACentral: Friday March 14 @ Woolshed Exhibition Centre, Ballarat; Saturday March 15 @ Geelong West Town Hall, Geelong West. Tickets for both shows go on sale February 7.

Monday, 21st

Midnight Juggernauts have signed an international licensing deal with EMI Records, which sees the band's debut album Dystopia released through out the world this May. Before then the band heads out on east coast headline tour this March with support from French outfit M83.

Blox, the project for Spod and Quan from Regurgitator, play some dates in Sydney and Melbourne this January: Thursday Jan 24 @ Candy's Apartment, Sydney; Saturday Jan 26 @ The Espy, Melbourne. Both shows will feature support slots from Tucker (Japan).

Wednesday, 16th

The Great Escape festival returns in 2008 for its third year, at the new date of the first weekend in October - the Labour Day long weekend. It will be hosted once again at Newington Armory, Sydney, with the line-up and ticketing details to be announced later in the year.

Plastic Palace Alice is set to release its debut album The Great Depression in March. The Melbourne sextet plays its first show for the year on Thursday January 17 at the Glasshouse, Collingwood, supported by Pets With Pets.

Thursday, 10th

E.L.F, the new solo project for Darren Cross (Gerling), releases his debut EP Stevie Nicks Hearts in stores February 16 out through his own label Oaks Records distributed thru MGM. Armed with a sampler and a laptop, he heads out on the road this February in support of the extended player, followed by March appearances at the Quicksilver Pro Music Festival on the Gold Coast, and the Playgrounder Weekender. Thursday, 3rd

Intercooler head out on the road this January. The tour was originally going to be supporting Chicago two piece Local H - who have since postponed their tour till April - so instead the band will go ahead with the scheduled shows with special guests in each city. Further details »

Red Jezebel and Sugar Army team up for a run of WA shows in January and February. Sugar Army is set to release its debut EP Where Do You Hide Your Toys nationally February 23 on new WA developmental label Good Cop Bad Cop thru Inertia Distribution. Further details »
