Sunday, 29th

Augie March is currently in the studio in Auckland, recording its forth long player. The band is documenting the process on its blog with photos and video. In the mean time, the band has put out The LA Session Collection, a collection of four live classics, recorded last year in the USA. Thursday, 26th

Schvendes release its debut studio album Sweet Talk Your Enemies in stores this week, Saturday June 28 on Good Cop Bad Cop through Inertia. The band launches the record in its hometown of Perth on Saturday July 5 at The Bakery with label mates Sugar Army plus guests Slim Pickens and These Shipwrecks.

Thursday, 19th

Gosford plays host to the Coaster music festival on Saturday 20 September at Gosford Showgrounds. Playing the all ages festival will be The Living End, Kisschasy, Cog, Something With Numbers, Blue King Brown, The Potbelleez, The Matches (USA), Bluejuice, The Lazys and more to be announced soon. Tickets go on sale Wednesday July 2 from www.coasterfestival.com.au and selected record stores.

Angie Hart and David McCormack team up for a series of intimate shows on the east coast this July. Coinciding with this dates, McCormack will be releasing, Cassingle, a taster of his forthcoming new album. Further details »

The Presets have postponed upcoming shows in Fremantle and Adelaide, along with last week's Brisbane show, due to illness. The dates have been rescheduled to July and August. All previously purchased tickets will be valid for these new dates. Further details »

The Great Escape returns to Newington Armory this October, during Labour day long weekend October 4 to 5. The first round of acts to be announced are: Blue King Brown, British India, C.W Stoneking, Cassette Kids, Firekites, Jackson Jackson, John Steel Singers, Laura Jean, Lior, Pikelet, Little Red, Paul Kelly, Plug In City, Spod, The E.L.F., The Galvatrons, The Holidays, The Mess Hall, The Panics, The Scientists Of Modern Music, The Seabellies, Theredsunband, Whitley, Wons Phreely, Yves Klein Blue; plus internationals Black Francis, Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band, Joan As Policewoman, Ladytron, Supergrass, The New Pornographers, We Are Scientists, and Yeasayer. More acts are still be announced and tickets go on sale Wednesday July 9. Tickets will include free camping.

Wednesday, 11th

Brisbane outfit Violent Soho heads out on the road this July in support of its recently released debut album, We Don’t Belong Here. The long player is out now through Magic Dirt imprint Emergency Music. Prior to the album launches, the band supports US outfit The Black Keys in Brisbane. Further details »

Monday, 2nd

Wolf & Cub is to release the single One To The Other, the first taste of the band's forthcoming second album recorded with Christopher Colonna from the Bumblebeez. In support of the single, the band heads out on the road this June and July with special guest The Holidays. Further details »

An Horse return from their recent tour of the US with Canada's Tegan & Sara to launch their debut EP Really Scared in Australia during the month of June. Special guest on the tour will be fellow Brisbane outfit I Heart Hiroshima. Following the tour the band heads out on the road once again with Tegan & Sara for a handful of UK dates.
