Wednesday, 28th

Sydney five-piece Ghosts Of Television releases its new EP Furthest Village From The Sun in stores June 7 out on Chatterbox Records. The band launches the extended player in Sydney the night before on Friday June 6 at Candy's Apartment, followed by dates in Melbourne band Brisbane. Further details »

Princess One Point Five winds up her launch tour for her third album Vous Je Vous with a Sydney show this weekend on Saturday May 31 at Spectrum with special guests Skeletal Explosive and Cameras.

Tuesday, 27th

Melbourne's Laura Jean and Grand Salvo team up this July for a run of dates in early July along the east coast. March of this year, saw the release of Laura's second album Eden Land; whilst Grand Salvo's new album album Death is out now on Spunk. Further details »

Wednesday, 21st

Pivot has released the single In The Blood as 12" vinyl and download release on Warp Records. The release also features remixes from Clark and Rustie, with iTunes version getting the exclusive track Blood Rise Red Dawn. Late May sees the band playing the Dot To Dot festival in the UK, followed by dates in Europe carrying through till mid August. Further details »

Magic Dirt is set to release its new album GIRL in early July on the band's own Emergency Music label. In support of the release, the band will embark on a massive national tour kicking off in August, and is calling out to bands to submit their music to be in the running to win a support slot at one of the shows. The band will listen to all submissions and announce the winners in the last week of July. Submissions need to be sent to PO BOX 297, Fairfield, VIC 3078.

Byron Bay three piece The Black Stars wrap up the launch of their EP Money Or Your Life this week with a run of dates in Bryon Bay, Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast. Out now on Brisbane independent label SugarRush, the EP follows up the band's 2006 debut. Further details »

Tim Steward and his band head out on the road this May and June to perform a series of shows in Melbourne and Sydney. Further details »

Augie March head to Neil Finn's Auckland studio Roundhead from late May to begin recording album number four, slated for release later this year. The band will be joined by producer Joe Chiccarelli who has worked with Zappa, U2, Beck, The Shins, and The White Stripes.

Guy Blackman launches his debut solo album Adult Baby in Melbourne on Saturday May 31 at The Toff In Town with Laura Jean & The Eden Land Band and Always. Almost three year in the making, the album features a host of special guests including Jens Lekman (Sweden), Art Of Fighting’s Peggy Frew, and cameos from members of the Dirty Three, Crayon Fields, Pikelet, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Ground Components, Fabulous Diamonds and many more. The long player is out now on Unstable Ape / Remote Control.

Sunday, 4th

Gosia Basinska launches her debut EP release on Saturday May 10 at MOJO's, Fremantle, WA with Mitey Co and Bird to Prey as special guests. In the 14 years she has been playing music she has fronted Smitten, played drums and sang for Ten Speed Racer, and worked closely with Allan Boyd in Freebase as vocalist and Mitey Co as guest vocalist.

Birds of Tokyo head out on the road this May to coincide with the release of Silhouettic, the first single from the forthcoming second album. Adelaide's In Fiction will act as the main support for the shows in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Further details »
