Pnau return to Newcastle this New Years Eve for the big end of year event at The Brewery, Queens Wharf. They are joined by Bumblebeez, Snob Scrilla and party DJs Amez, Boogie, D*Steady and Matt Saxon. The event wraps up a very successful year for Pnau after appearances in the UK at the Glastonbury Festival and being signed to Elton John's UK management company. The sold out Pyramid Rock Festival has announced the second round of acts for this year's event happening December 29 till Thursday January 1 at Phillip Island, Victoria. Melbourne's Winterpark will independently release its second album 'Falling Men and Flying Dreams' via MGM in stores on October 18. The long player was conceived and tested on the road during a three month round-the-world adventure, which saw the band play stages in New York, London, Berlin, Prague, Paris, Tokyo, Helsinki, and the Iceland Airwaves Festival.

After a successful run of Donít Look Back classic album performances in 2008, the All Tomorrow's Parties curated festival comes to Australia for the first time in 2009. The inaugural festivals in January will be curated Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. The first round of artists chosen to appear include seminal punk band, The Saints featuring the original line-up. They are joined by Robert Forster, Laughing Clowns, Primitive Calculators, Rowland S. Howard, The Stabs, Bridezilla, The Necks; plus internationals Spiritualized, James Blood Ulmer, Harmonia, Fuck Buttons, Silver Apples, Afriampo, and Michael Gira. The festival will take place in Victoria over two days, January 9 and 10 at the Mt.Buller Ski Resort; in Sydney during January 17 and 18 as part of the Sydney Festival at Cockatoo Island; and lastly in Queensland as a series of one shows between January 12 and 16.
